Twinado’s Kitchen Jerk Shack - Authentic Jamaican Cuisine in Pickerington, OH

On my 1st trip to the Jerk Shack I was impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment as well as the great customer service. The food was fresh and hot, made to order. I had the Loaded Jerky Fries and Chicken Rasta Pasta. The pasta was perfect with the exception of the Sweetness. I wasn't expecting it to be Sweet gravy..... however the amount of spiciness was perfect. I will definitely try this place again minus the Sweet Gravy.

I met a friend who was wanting to try the food here. It did not disappoint. I had the Chicken and beef stir fry with plantains. He had the vegetarian stir fry with cabbage. Both of us liked the food,although it was slightly spicer than I expected. The portions were generous, and we were pleased with the food. My friend ordered some to take to his wife. Expect about a 15 minute wait. The lady who took our order was very pleasant and polite. The only issue we had was they were out of water, so while the food was being prepared we walked to the Speedway and got a couple of bottles. I would definitely eat here again. The restaurant was clean and neat. There were only about 5 tables in the place, but it appeared most people were getting take out.

My son took me to Jerk Shack, thinking I was grabbing food to take home. That plan ended fast. They had me do a quick taste of the jerk chicken and that was it. It hit immediately. Deep, smoky, spicy in the right way. I didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before it was gone . The mac and cheese was solid and well seasoned, not an afterthought. The cabbage had real flavor too, not just fillers. Everything tasted fresh, cooked with care, and the people were just as good as the food. Super welcoming, good energy, no rush. Easy 10 out of 10. If you’re in Pickerington, this spot is a must.

It's great to have options for different cultural foods ! The Jerk chicken was very good ! The spicy heat quickly crept up on my though. Im not much into hot food, but if you like a little heat, this would be perfect. I would definitely visit again to try other dishes !

Update!! Finally was able to order oxtails. They were delicious and I really don't eat things like that. My husband ordered it, I tried it, and it was good. Everything we've tried is definitely delicious. The jerk salmon was delicious. The red beans and rice was pretty good considering I really don't care for beans in my rice, but it was good. The rasta pasta was delicious, it had a nice flavor. I don't mind the sweet flavor, it's not really that sweet to me, I taste more cinnamon in it than anything else. The jerk chicken egg rolls were delicious, they had a really good flavor and the crust on the egg rolls was perfectly crispy and goes great with the sauce. The cabbage was good. The plantains are good. The food is tasty here and we would love to try the oxtails, but it's always sold out every time we come. Decent quiet atmosphere, not too many tables but a small party can sit down and enjoy their meal if necessary.

This was my first Caribbean cuisine experience in Central OH that I didn't regret! I’ve had a lot of misses, but this restored my trust that some place could do this genre of food justice. The jerk flavors in the chicken were spot on, and portion sizes were pretty generous for the price. I think I’ll opt for additional jerk sauce on the side next time, wasn’t completely covered, but no big deal. My highlight was the Mild Beef Patty. I inhaled it. Then a few hours later reordered - it was THAT good. My Mac and Cheese and Cabbage needed a little salt, but again - not a major concern. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Got off I70 exit 112A for Gas. Speedway was hidden by finally found it. It the mall strip by Speedway was this great Jerk Shack. I got the oxtail with mac n cheese and honey cornbread. The ox tail was great and flavored with the great jerk seaaoning. Mac and cornbread was also great but my low carb diet, I only tasted it and both were great. The owner is very kind and puts love into her cooking. I will keep this location as im sure i will pass by this area again. I will try the jerk chicken next time. I believe they are chicken pieces. I would recommend having jerk chicken wings as a special. If you never had jerk seasoning come try this place if u are nearby, it will open a new taste palate for you.

I've had Jerk Shack 3 or 4 times now and the food has been pretty good everytime. I tried the oxtails for the 1st time and they were delicious.
